Peacock pays homage (surprisingly) to the sounds we hear around us and the beautiful colours and majesty the sounds evoke. From our remote base in the Shropshire Hills we hear many of the sounds of nature you would commonly hear in a rural setting from a variety of birds and livestock to the quiet rustling of trees and trickling of water. But just occasionally you will hear the distinct sound of a pair of peacocks! Hearing them will always make your heart warm and bring back memories of the vivid spectrum of colours brought together in this colourway.

Product Details

The Whinberry Infinity scarf is a must for the colder weather and perfect for crisp evenings.

Whinberry recycles 100% cashmere into soft, breathable accessories. Lovingly recycled in the heart of beautiful Shropshire, our talented and experienced team breathe new life into grade A 100% cashmere garments.

Due to the sustainable nature of what we do, every scarf is unique so you will receive a handpicked item within the narrow colour spectrum shown in the photographs, as opposed to the exact photographed item.

We have created a range of colourways, each inspired by loved people, places and animals who are all dear to us and close to our hearts.

Material

We rescue beautiful 100% cashmere garments that would otherwise be sent to landfill - often because of a small flaw, hole or light mark. Instead of allowing this perfectly usable material to be wasted, we carefully recover the flawless sections and transform them into our handmade Whinberry products. It is recycling in its truest form, lovingly breathing in new life into such a beautiful material.

We want to be incredibly clear about our approach: we do not purchase or commission new cashmere. We work exclusively with existing 100% cashmere - already created, already in circulation. Our role is to stop these soft fibres becoming waste before their time, ensuring they are cherished rather than discarded, reducing waste and reducing demand for new production.

The reason we believe it is worth saving is because cashmere is a wonderfully soft, breathable and warm material, far finer than a standard sheep's wool. When saved from landfill, it becomes the perfect recycled luxury for cosy, durable, year round accessories that truly don't cost the earth, in more ways than one.

By choosing reclaimed cashmere, you are choosing reuse over waste, craftmanship over consumption, and sustainability over starting from scratch.
